I saw this on Tangled and True today. So adorable! Olivia could really use this in her room. I might have to look into making it...

fall favorites

While I am sad to see Summer go, I have to admit that I love Fall. Love it. The cooler weather is heavenly. Here are a few other things that I'm enjoying or looking forward to this Fall.

Football. I love it. BYU football especially. I have some love for the Chicago Bears as well but there's something about college football that I can't get enough of. I left Mark and the kids at home last Saturday so that I could go watch the BYU game (only certain cable providers carry their games) at Laura's house. And her husband wasn't home so it was just us girls watching the game!

Ann Taylor outfit
Fall clothing. I know I'm not alone when it comes to this. Layers are wonderful. Cardigans are the best. I need to get shopping!

And the number one reason why this Fall is something to look forward to -

Brigham is coming home from his mission! November 10. Yahoo!

makes me happy

It's almost embarrassing how many times I've watched this movie in the last few weeks. Why did it take me years to watch it in the first place? Man, it's a good one. I am kind of on a Jane Austen kick anyway and this cute movie just makes me happy. Who can pass up an adorable Mr. Darcy? Especially with lines like, "You have bewitched me body and soul." Seriously. Adorable.

picture of the past

I know, I's an old picture but it's one of my favorites so I had to throw it up here. Mark made a big pile of the kid's toys and then stuck the kids right in the middle of it. Remember ET hiding out in Elliot's closet among the toys? Ethan and Liv aren't so easily hidden! Liv wasn't sure if she liked it or not but Ethan loved every minute.

soccer team

Ethan has loved playing soccer this summer. I'm probably going to sign him up for indoor soccer during the winter cause he thinks that he can't live without it now. I love that he has such a passion for it!

one for the scrapbook

Last Friday was Scrapbook USA. It's held twice a year and it's become something that I look forward to. There are a ton of vendors selling their scrap supplies and then tables set up for you to sit and work on your projects. My mom and her friends go every time and stay til midnight just shopping, scrapbooking, eating, chatting and just having a good time. I was able to go for about five hours, not enough time to do everything I wanted to do. But I still had a great time! Mom and I spent most of that time shopping but I was able to get one page done before I left. Next time I'm going to try to stay til midnight!

Side note - I saw a quote that said something about a boy's will being like the wind's will and just used the first part of it. I thought that was appropriate for this set of pictures of an emotional Ethan.

Big Cottonwood Canyon

Summer is coming to an end and I was just thinking this morning that I'm a little sad about that. This summer has been wonderful! I'm not a lover of the heat, by any means, but I do love all of the fun we've been able to enjoy. Last summer was the pits - hectic job for Mark, super uncomfortable pregnancy (remember the hives?) and the never ending moving.
Although, I do have to say that sitting by the pool with friends almost everyday was a lifesaver! Not much else that a swollen lady covered in hives really cares to be doing! ha!
This year we've been able to enjoy hikes, concerts, BBQs, farmer's markets, family, renewed old friendships, camping, lots of time with Mark, soccer, baseball games, book clubs, proper birthday parties...and on and on. I've loved all of it.
