Not So Upside Down

I went to the doctor yesterday (I saw a different doctor than I normally see because my doctor was out of town) and got a bit of interesting news. The doctor was measuring my stomach and then began pushing around a little. A puzzled look came to his face and he asked, "Has your Doctor ever said whether or not the baby's head is down?" I told him that just over a month ago the doctor told me that the head was indeed down. He asked if I would mind if he did a quick ultrasound. He started the ultrasound at the bottom of my stomach and immediately started laughing - there was a little baby butt instead of a cute little face. This pregnancy has been full of surprises so I guess I shouldn't have been too thrown off by the news of her being breech. I have to go see another doctor (this guy I saw is also going on vacation and my doctor won't be back) on Thursday and then I go to my regular doctor on Monday, Aug 4. As long as something strange doesn't happen before my doctor gets back (going into labor, emergency c-section) then I will find out on the 4th what exactly will happen. There is a slim to none chance that this baby will flip so I am counting on a c-section. I've heard that my doctor has actually delivered breech babies in the past but Mark and I aren't too comfortable with that idea. We've had a baby in the NICU before and I really don't want to do that again if anything were to go wrong during delivery. I will keep you all posted.

Beach Pictures

Melanie, one of the other wives here in the office, took these pictures of our kids when we went to the beach last week. Her little man is Clark. The kids love playing with him. P.S. -  The beach is actually Lake Michigan but it works.

Hello Again

So as you can tell it's been a while since I've been able to update our blog. We still don't have a computer so finding time to blog on someone else's computer has been a bit difficult. I have pictures and videos to share but I will have to do it all at once when we either get a computer or return to Utah. We are still enjoying our time here in Indiana. We've been able to do a few fun Chicago things like the Taste of Chicago and have discovered Jump Zone here in Merrillville. It's the kid's favorite thing to do! It's been super hot lately so we've pretty much been spending all of our time at the apartment complex pool. What a life saver! My kids have tans that people envy! Mark is working hard and his office is one of the top in the company. Hooray! As for a pregnancy update, I went to the doctor this morning and everything seems to be going along just fine. I am almost 36 weeks now. I am so excited to almost be done! I start going to the doctor every week from here on out so I will try to do better at posting updates. Oh, and the hives...they come and go but for the most part they have cleared up. What an experience that was!
