Talent

My brother-in-law, Aaron, is a very talented photographer and I thought I would post a few of his pictures to get word out about his photos. Also, here is a link to his personal website so that you can look at all of his photos. I am a big fan! We already have quite a few of his photographs in our home. Take a look!

Summer Location

As many of you know, Mark works for a home security company, Platinum Protection, and each summer we head out to different parts of the country to sell those systems. This year we are going to the Chicago area. We will be going out there in April. We are excited to be going back to that area - Mark served his mission out there and I used to live in Rockford, a city about an hour west of Chicago. We are really looking forward to this summer!

Playing Tag

Aubrey has tagged me so here we go.

How long have you been together? Since July 2000. Right after Mark came home from his mission we started hanging out and just never stopped. We were married on March 10, 2001. Our seven year anniversary is coming up!

Who said "I Love You" first? Mark did. He took me to the Manti Temple on the way back to Provo from a weekend at his parent's house and told me as we stood right in front of the temple.

Who is smarter? Mark is a pretty smart cookie but most of the time we are on the same page.

Who Pays the Bills? I do. It's easier for one of us to handle the money and Mark doesn't like thinking about it.

Who Cooks Dinner? I do. When we first started dating Mark said that there isn't any reason why men shouldn't cook dinner too but I've yet to see him try.

Who drives when you're in the car together? Usually Mark.

Who is the most stubborn? We are both very stubborn. We are both the oldest kids in our families and we are used to getting what we want but I would say that when it comes down to it, I am the most stubborn.

Who wears the pants in your family? Mark would probably say me but I think we are pretty equal.

Now 3 random things about me...
1. When I was younger I wanted to be a fashion designer. Not because I think I know more about fashion than others but because I could never find clothes that fit me the right way so I wanted to design my own. I attempted a few dresses and shorts but apparently I don't have the talent for it. :)
2. I am addicted to cinnamon gummy candies. Like cinnamon bears, cinnamon santas (at x-mas) and recently cinnamon lips (for valentines).
3. I love football! I don't even have to like the teams that are playing to enjoy watching a game. I've only ever been to BYU football games so I would love to go to an NFL game someday.

10 Weeks

Today I had my first Dr. appointment. I am 10 weeks and 2 days along (everyday counts!) and everything seems to be going well according to the Doctor. By the way, I love my Doctor! He is the nicest guy around. I loved my Dr. in Provo as well and was a little nervous about going somewhere new but I am very happy with the way things worked out. Thank you to Chalise for recommending him! Anyways, Mark was able to come with me and we heard the heartbeat together. It sounded great, very strong. Hearing the heartbeat always seems to calm any fears I have that something is wrong (I tend to worry a lot while pregnant) and it also increases my excitement. I decided that I am going to take a profile picture whenever I go to the Dr. to see the progress I've made.

The sign of pregnancy

When we told the kids that I was going to have another baby, they just kept looking at my stomach and they couldn't figure out why I didn't look pregnant already. Ethan has been asking me when I'm going to "get fat," since that is how they view being pregnant, I suppose. Well, apparently I am starting to look pregnant cause Ethan told me yesterday that I was "finally getting fat." Good for me.

This third time around has already been tougher on me than the first two but I guess, in this case, being sick is a good sign. I go see my DR. next week, my 10th week, so hopefully we will have some more info to share at that time.

Christmas Stockings

I told Ethan to hold up his favorite stocking toy and he chose the Bears football. Somehow I knew...
Liv was just too busy going through it all over and over to even hold up her favorite toy.
