Christmas was so fun! We were down in Cedar City with Mark's family for Christmas this year for the first time since Ethan was little. We were able to stay at Mark's brother's house (they were out of town, thanks again David and Lis!) and enjoyed our own family time together going through our stockings. Once we were dressed and ready to go, we went over to his parent's house and had delicious cinnamon rolls and opened our presents. The kids had a blast! Ethan and Liv sat next to each other the whole time and helped each other open all their presents. Izzy sat on Aaron's lap (Mark's youngest brother) and chewed on a bow the entire time. When you're four months old bows are better than real presents anyway! It was such a great time! We hope you all enjoyed your Christmas as well.
Oh, one more thing. Ethan lost both top front teeth right before Christmas. He was so excited but said that if one more person asked if all he "wanted for Christmas were his two front teeth" he was going to be really mad. Ha Ha! And he stuck to that! After a while of people asking him that, he wouldn't even answer them. Oh poor Ethan. Ha Ha!

I have had these pictures on my phone since the summer and forgot that they were there till now so I thought I would share a few. Sorry to gross you out with the pictures of the hives. That was such a miserable experience! Seven months pregnant and covered in hives - not a pretty picture. They were only this bad for about a month and then they kind of faded a bit and totally disappeared after Izzy was born.

Arriving in Acapulco
We're back! We arrived home yesterday from our 8 day cruise down to Mexico. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing, just what we needed. I have to admit though that we are really lame cause we only took a handful of pictures the entire vacation. The friends that we were with took a few more and have promised to share (yes, Melanie, that's you!)so I will post those when I get those from them. Oh, I guess I should mention the cities that we visited - Acapulco, Manzanillo and Ixtapa. They were all very beautiful cities! The beaches in Ixtapa and Manzanillo were especially beautiful. Acapulco was very cool too but it's a huge city. Two million people live there and their number one industry is tourism. The highlight of Acapulco for me was the Cliff Divers. I have a few little videos of them diving but they are filmed at a weird angle so as soon as I get that figured out I will post them. It was incredible! Anyways, we had a great vacation! It's nice to be home now too.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! My sister and her family as well as both sets of my grandparents were in town this year so it was a packed house. It was a lot of fun!
Side note - We leave for our cruise in the morning so I won't be posting anything till we get back in a week. I've been really stressed about leaving the baby but I think it will all work out fine. I keep telling myself that anyway! With my mom, grandma and sister in the house I'm sure she will be loved and cuddled to her heart's content.

In my attempt to feel "normal" again after having the baby, I colored my hair black again. I love having my hair so dark! Over the Summer we were at the pool everyday and my hair became really light and it killed me that I couldn't color it. Thank you to Kendyl for being my hair stylist. You did a great job!

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. Ethan was a Ninja Turtle and Liv was an Elephant. We went to the ward's trunk-or-treat before going out into the neighborhood. The kids scored so much candy there that I tried to talk them into being done with trick-or-treating (I know, I'm a Halloween scrooge) but they wanted to go out with their friends. My brother, Evan, and his girlfriend, Jessica, took my kids and her little sisters out and they had a blast together. So we now have enough candy to hold us over till Valentines Day!

We are going on another cruise this year with Mark's company! We were assigned our room and given a few instructions about check in yesterday so as soon as they send us our plane tickets we will be ready to go. We leave the day after Thanksgiving and we're gone for a week. It's another Mexican Riviera cruise but this time we will be going to Acapulco, Manzanillo and one other stop. My mom, sister and grandma will be watching the kids for us. A huge thank you to them! I'm beyond excited! Now, I guess I better get myself to the gym...five weeks isn't that long to shed this baby weight and be bathing suit ready, as if that's ever possible!

Yesterday we decided to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather, it's been in the 70s and heavenly lately. We spent the afternoon at Wheeler Farm. We saw a few farm animals, fed the ducks and watched the cows be milked. I highly recommend spending an afternoon there. It was great!

Here are some updated pictures of our little Iz. She truly is the most laid back, happy baby I've ever had and she's such a delight to have in our family. She loves her baths! I wrap her in a towel and lower her into her bath. It keeps her feeling more secure and warm because she hates to be naked. I'm sure if it was up to her she would stay in there a lot longer than I let her.

Becuase our entire summer has been filled with all sorts of action and a few complications, it's only natural that we end the summer on the same note. The night before we were to board our plane back to Utah, Ethan woke up at 2am with the flu. Actually, at first I thought it was (hoping it was anyway) food poinsoning since we had gone out to eat that evening. A few hours later Liv started to throw up as well. I called the airline to see if there was any way I could change the flight, which we were to be on at noon, to the next day becuase the thought of having to fly alone with three kids and two of them throwing up was just too much for me to even process. For a small (yeah right!) fee of $800 I could change the flight but that wasn't going to happen so off we went to the airport with the kids throwing up in the car as we drove. Mark stayed at the airport with me as long as he could, we took turns taking the kids into the restrooms to continue throwing up. Then I made my way through security (which is another blog entirely) and onto the first plane. Yes, we had to take two flights to get here. The flight went better than I had played it out in my mind but I felt bad for my poor little kids having to suffer through the flu on two planes. The flight attendants were very nice and helped me clean up after the kids threw up and gave them pillows and blankets to help them get some rest. Between flights we hung out in the restroom so that we didn't have to make a mad dash down the airport hallway when they needed to be sick. Thankfully, I have the best baby ever and she was super patient about being fed and held. When we finally made it to Utah the kids were feeling much better and very excited to be off the planes. Liv continued to be sick for another 24 hours but Ethan was able to recover pretty quickly. Two days later, I ended up with same flu! I'm grateful that my mom helped me out with the kids and got up with the baby in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, we passed our sickness onto everyone else in my family. It's been quite a week here at my folks house to say the least.

One of the last things to happen in Indiana was the birth of our little Isabelle Garrigan. Thank you to Amy for posting a few pictures for us on the day she was born. Here are a few more. And, by the way, she is still a sweet little baby! She is already getting so big. We love having her in our family.

We were also able to visit the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. Thanks to Melanie for letting us use your pass! It's a really nice aquarium - whales, dolphin shows...its great! We decided to ride the train into the city which was a first for the kids so they thought it was awesome. On the way home, we had to stop at Nordstrom downtown to use the bathroom and the kids couldn't help stopping to check out the Lego store. A cute little Lego lady was sitting right outside the store.

One of our biggest events this Summer actually took place in Virginia, where I grew up. My grandparents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June and requested that all their family come out and celebrate with them. Unfortunately, Mark wasn't able to take time off to go with us but the kids and I were able to fly out there for a week. We had a blast! Most of my relatives had never met my kids and it had been almost 10 years that since I had last seen some of them as well. My grandparents live on a lake so we spent quite a bit of time on the "beach." The kids love my brothers and pulled them out into the water with them as much as they could. During one of the parties that my grandparents had (there were two) we took some family pictures which consisted of my family, all the grandkids and all the cousins. Also, before we left Virginia, my parents thought it would be fun to take everyone to Kings Dominion, an amusement park. When we lived in Virginia we loved going to there, we had season passes. Anyway, it was so much fun to go again and take my kids there - never thought I would have had the opportunity to do that! Thanks Mom and Dad! It was a blast!
